Park City Municipal inventories the greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted by its operations annually. Significant progress has been made to decarbonize the electricity produced to power municipal buildings, electric buses, City-sponsored EV chargers, etc.

• Operation of Park City’s water system has seen significant progress over the last several years, effectively decreasing its GHG output by 24.4 percent.
• Annual savings from building efficiency projects have saved 3858 MT CO2e and saved the City over $383,050 annually.
• Park City Municipal’s annual footprint has decreased by almost 20 percent since 2016, or 4121 MT CO2e. That’s equivalent to 249,853 seedlings grown for 10 years.
