Alcohol & Liquor License
A liquor license is required for any business or function which allows customers, members, guests, visitors, or any other persons to purchase, possess or consume liquor on the premises of the place of business. All of the state requirements must be met and approved.
Liquor License Application
- Contact the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control 801-977-6800 to determine what type of license you will need. You will first need to apply with Park City before you can apply with the State of Utah.
- Applicant must have a valid Park City business license to apply for a Park City Liquor license.
- Complete the Application for Beer and Liquor License and submit the required documents:
- Certificate of Existence/Articles of Incorporation
- Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance ($1,000,000 occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate)
- Payment
- Following all departmental approvals, the Finance Department will stamp the letter of local consent.
- Submit the stamped letter of local consent to DABC as part of the State's application materials.
- A liquor license is not valid until approved by the State of Utah as well as Park City.

- Contact the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control 801-977-6800 to determine what type of license you will need. You will first need to apply with Park City before you can apply with the State of Utah.
- Complete the Application for Single Event Temporary Alcoholic Beverage License and submit the required documents:
- Certificate of Existence/Articles of Incorporation
- Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance ($1,000,000 occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate)
- All Single Event Temporary Liquor License applications for dates during the Sundance Film Festival must obtain City Council approval.
