The Park City Winter Commuter Rewards program returns for the 2024-2025 season, continuing our mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and alleviate congestion on Park City's roads. This community program is open to employees, visitors, and residents of Park City and the greater Summit County. The program will be available from December 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025. Our primary goal is to encourage sustainable commuting choices, such as walking, biking, riding the bus, carpooling, using park and ride lots, and vanpooling, as alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle trips.

What is Ride On Park City?

Ride On Park City is an innovative online platform designed to transform your daily commute. It connects individuals with nearby neighbors and coworkers who share similar commute patterns. Whether you're looking for carpool partners or companions for transit, walking, or biking, Ride On can help. Additionally, the platform empowers organizations and employers to incentivize and gamify sustainable transportation options.

What is the Program?

The Winter Commuter Reward program offers cash rewards to individuals living, working, or recreating in Park City who opt for sustainable transportation modes for their daily commutes. You can log your trips on RideOnParkCity.org or use apps like Strava, Waze, or the CommuteTrack app. Each mode of sustainable transportation earns you a specific point value. The individual with the highest total points wins the grand prize!

What are the prizes?

The grand prize for the Park City Winter Commuter Rewards program is $1,500 in cash, awarded to the participant with the most points. The second-place winner will receive $1,000 in cash.

What Constitutes a "Trip"?

A "trip" refers to a one-way journey to or from work using sustainable transportation methods such as biking, walking, carpooling, or public transit. For instance, if you drive to a park and ride lot and take the bus to work, it counts as one "Park & Ride" trip. If you return to the park and ride lot via bus and drive home, that's considered an additional trip.
