About Live Park City

The goal of the Live Park City Lite-Deed program is to help maintain a sense of community by incentivizing new and existing residents to place deed restrictions on their property in exchange for a cash payment from the City in order to promote year-round residency, more workforce housing opportunities, and down payment assistance. Currently, 67% of Park City's housing stock does not have a primary resident (which are considered to be "vacant") and are instead used as second homes and short-term recreational uses. The pilot program aims to:

• Promote more full-time residents and less second-home ownership;
• Encourage investments in workforce housing;
• Provide down payment assistance for those just out of the market; and
• Create an option for current homeowners to ensure their home offers the ability for future residents to live and work in Park City in perpetuity. 

This Deed Restriction program is unlike any current City program. The Deed Restrictions do not have any income or appreciation caps, or household size requirements. The only requirements to apply for the program are full-time residency (owner occupancy or long-term rental) and local employment.

Application Process

• Fill out the application (Application link | Application en Espanol):
  • List the property address if purchasing (the property must be located in Park City City limits)
  • List the property address if purchasing (the property must be located in Park City City limits)
  • Provide your contact information (name that will be held on title and mailing address)
  • Specify decision date needed if dependent on a purchase/closing date
  • Specify the amount of money you are applying for
• This application will be sent to Park City Municipal's Housing Team. If properly filled out, the application will then be sent to the Advisory Committee for review.
• Upon approval for funds, you will enter into a Notice of Deed Restriction Purchase agreement with Park City Municipal Corporation.
