This Week in City Council
The City Council will meet as the Park City Water District on Thursday, December 19 at 3:45 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers.
The regular City Council meeting will begin at 3:55 p.m. Agenda highlights include:
Main Street Area Plan
The Main Street Area Plan team will provide an update to City Council on a potential roadmap for future investments in the Main Street area. The draft plan reflects outcomes from a 6=month process, which included six committee meetings of local stakeholders, a City Council work session on November 7, and two community engagement sessions held on November 12 at Miners Hospital. Council will open a public hearing and consider voting on the plan. View agenda item here.
Sundance Film Festival 2025 Supplemental Plan and Permit Changes
Council will review material changes to the 2025 Supplemental Plan and Amended Festival Level Five Special Event Permit, which includes updates to official venues, sponsors, sponsor venues, and sustainability efforts. Request to Rename the City’s Dog Park at Quinns Junction
Council will consider a request to rename the dog park at Quinns Junction to “Ian Weinman Legacy Dog Park” in memoriam of Ian Weinman -- an advocate for the park’s construction. View agenda item here.
Swearing-In Ceremony for New Park City Police Officer
Mayor Nann Worel will swear in the Park City Police Department’s newest officer Davis Coppin. View agenda item here.
U.S. Representative-elect Mike Kennedy
Council will greet Mr. Kennedy and hold a discussion. The U.S. Representative-elect's District includes Park City, which he will represent in Washington when he is sworn-in in the new year.
Treasure Hill Conservation Easement Briefing
The Property and Open Space teams will brief the Council on a draft Treasure Hill Open Space conservation easement, which was a contingency of the original purchase of the property by the City. The third-party held easement is designed to protect the property's natural and recreational values. Council will discuss this item and consider setting a date for final action. Woodside Park Senior Center and Housing Project
Council will review a presentation on the current state of the Senior Center project and consider options moving forward. View agenda item here.

Get on Board for Winter Transit
Park City Transit's winter service is here and brings increased frequency of busses on the 1 Red, 2 Green, and 3 Blue routes, the return of the Park City Mountain and Deer Valley express routes from Richardson Flat Park & Ride, the return of the Citywide late-night route, and the continuation of the 20 Tan route. National Community Survey
Park City Municipal invites you to participate in the National Community Survey. The survey is administered by the National Research Council and is used by more than 500 communities in 45 states. The survey includes questions about safety, mobility, governance, community connection, recreation, and more. Park City Municipal uses the survey to measure the performance of our city services, which also allows us to benchmark results against other similar communities. Take the survey today, it closes on Wednesday, January 8.
