Park City Names New Transportation Director

Park City, Utah – Park City Municipal has named Tim Sanderson, a long-time public transit and transportation professional, as the City’s new Transportation Director. Sanderson will oversee all aspects of the City’s transportation planning and operations, including strategic long-term planning, optimizing transit routes, strategic parking management, peak traffic mitigation solutions, and working collaboratively with our regional partners such as High Valley Transit, the Utah Transit Authority, and the Utah Department of Transportation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our multi-faceted and hard-working team, as he brings a wealth of transit and transportation experience,” said City Manager Matt Dias. “We are excited to support him as the Mayor and Council continue to pursue long-term transportation solutions and explore further investments toward solving some of Park City’s most pressing challenges.”

"I am thrilled to have Tim’s fresh perspective, skills, and experience added to our team," said Mayor Nann Worel. “With him onboard, we add a leader who has managed transit in venues with large special events and seasonal demand fluctuations – much like we experience in our community.”

Sanderson, a native of Canada, most recently served as the General Manager of Lethbridge Transit in Alberta. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Public Administration. Tim has served in various leadership roles in several prominent transportation and transit agencies, including Ann Arbor, Des Moines, and Nashville.
