The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY GUIDELINES

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) (NON-BID) FOR Transit Stop Amenities

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Design, fabricate, deliver, and support during the installation of transit amenities, including but not limited to transit benches, trash receptacles, ski/snowboard racks and/or bike racks for PCMC. 

PROJECT DEADLINE:  Phase I initial delivery of approximately 100-150 units is anticipated by April 1, 2025. Phase II delivery is anticipated by December 31, 2025. Phase III delivery is anticipated by December 31, 2026.

RFP AVAILABLE:  The RFP will be available on Monday, August 26, 2024, on the U3P Website. Any modifications to the RFP or responses to questions submitted will be added as an addendum to the RFP posted on the U3P Website. It is the responsibility of Respondents to check for addenda regularly.

PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all Respondents. Requests for reasonable accommodation at the pre-proposal meeting shall be made no later than 48 hours before the Project Contact below. Accommodation may include alternative formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids.

QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to the U3P website by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Please do not submit the same question multiple times.
