The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

Traffic Impact Study Guidelines

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

PCMC is inviting proposals from qualified persons or firms (“Respondent”) to provide on-call historic preservation professional services to PCMC on an as needed basis.

PROPOSALS DUE: June 16, 2025

Submit proposals electronically via Utah Public Procurement Place (“U3P”). The proposals will be opened after the submission deadline.

RFP MODIFICATIONS: Any modifications to the RFP or responses to questions submitted will be added as an addendum to the RFP and posted on U3P. It is the responsibility of Respondents to regularly check for addenda.

QUESTIONS: Please do not submit the same question multiple times.

PROJECT LOCATION: Various Locations within 84060 (municipal boundaries).

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: PCMC seeks an On-Call Historic Preservation Professional (“Consultant”) to review reports and plans submitted by applicants, evaluate historic structures, draft site visit findings, monitor historic sites during construction, evaluate City-owned historic sites and preservation plans, prepare reports to support the City’s historic preservation work, and review requests for historic district grants, all on an as needed basis. The contract will be for a period of one year with the option to renew for one additional one-year period.
