The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY GUIDELINES

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) (NON-BID) FOR Installation of Park City Transit 300kw ABB Overhead Pantograph Bus Charger System 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Successful Contractor will install owner-provided equipment for 300kw ABB overhead pantograph charger system for Park City Transit electric vehicles. Contractor will improve Shortline Road and drainage features on Shortline Road.  

PROJECT DEADLINE:  Construction is expected to begin April 1, 2025 and to be completed by May 30, 2025. 

RFP AVAILABLE:  The RFP will be available on Friday, November 1, 2024, on the Utah Public Procurement Place (“U3P”) website and the Park City website. Any modifications to the RFP or responses to questions submitted will be added as an addendum to the RFP posted on U3P.  It is the responsibility of Contractors to regularly check for addenda. 

PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. MST, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Public Works West Office, 1053 Iron Horse Drive, Park City, Utah 84060.  Attendance is strongly encouraged for all interested Respondents. Requests for reasonable accommodation at the pre-proposal meeting shall be made no later than 48 hours in advance to the Project Contact below. Accommodation may include alternative formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids. 

QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) website by 12:00 p.m. MST on Friday, December 13, 2024. Please read the Questions Section available through U3P before submitting a question because your question may have already been addressed. Please do not submit the same question multiple times.
