Join us to celebrate the installation of the Daly West Headframe steel sculpture at the head of the Rail Trail! The celebration will take place at the intersection of Bonanza Drive (east side) and the Rail Trail.

 

Park City Municipal Corporation, in concert with the Park City Public Art Advisory Board, The Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History, and the Park City Historical Society, are pleased to announce the opening of a new public art installation. The sculpture, built with the steel of the Daly West Headframe, will commemorate the 34 miners who perished in the 1902 explosion in the Daly-West Mine.

Archive Designs and SO Metal, LLC of Eugene, Oregon designed and installed the sculpture just in time for the Miner’s Day Celebration.

Parking is limited! Please park in the parking lot on the corner of Bonanza Drive and Munchkin Road and use the crosswalk to access the ceremony.
