Basic Hockey Skating 1 & 2 (4+ yrs)
Basic Hockey:
The focus and goal of the Basic Hockey Skating curriculum/classes are designed to teach beginner hockey players ages 4-12 years old the fundamentals of hockey skating. Age and skill appropriate drills will be used to teach the players how to become comfortable on the ice, learn the basic hockey stance, strides, knee bends and the use of their edges. *Skaters will be required to be dressed in full hockey gear while on the ice.

Included in Basic Hockey Skating Class Registrations:
All Hockey Academy classes include six (6) on ice lessons. Skate rental is included. Full hockey equipment is required and may be available to rent, the fee is $15 for the entire session. Please schedule the equipment fitting with the Hockey Academy Coordinator, timothy.francis@parkcity.org, 7 days in advance of the class start date. Students will receive a public skate code to use for six (6) public skate sessions with skate rental. The code expires after 6 uses or one week after the last day of class.
Learn to Play Hockey (5-12 yrs)
Learn to Play Hockey:
The focus and goal of the Learn to Play Hockey curriculum/classes are designed to teach beginner hockey players ages 4-12 years old the basic skills required to play the game of hockey, develop an understanding of basic teamwork, having fun, creating/refining basic motor skills and being introduced to the concepts of cooperation and fair play. *Skaters will be required to be dressed in full hockey gear and utilize a hockey stick while on the ice.

Refunds and credits may be issued for cancellations more than 5 days before the start of a program. Leniency will be given to cancellations associated to COVID-19.
Make up classes are not available for Skating and Hockey Academy.
