Historic Preservation Board Vacancy

There are four Historic Preservation Board (HPB) positions available for appointment as of May, 2017.  Three (3) of the positions are for full terms and one (1) is for an unexpired term that will end in May of 2018.  HPB members are appointed for terms of three years.  Board members need not be residents of Park City.  Existing Board Members have the choice to reapply for a subsequent term.

The Board meets at 5:00 p.m. on the 1st Wednesday of each month and as needed periodically. On average the Board meets 12-18 times a year.  

This is a Board created pursuant to the Utah Code to preserve and encourage the unique historic character in the Historic District that reflect Park City’s mining heritage; all in accordance with the Land Management Code and the Historic District Design Guidelines. 

Applications are available at the Park City Planning Department at 445 Marsac Avenue and online at on the city's website. Selection criteria include demonstrated interest or knowledge of Historic Preservation.  All criteria may be viewed online.  The application deadline is April 28, 2017 at 5:00 PM.  Interview with City Council will be determined.  Contact Louis Rodriguez for more information at (435) 615-5061 or by email at louis.rodriguez@parkcity.org.
