Rory Murphy thanked
Council for matching funds donated to the Friends of Ski Mining History. Sally Elliott and
other supporters were also in attendance.

Bill Humbert expressed
his concerns about taxes and conflicting goals in the city. He
asked the city to collaborate with the county to align affordable
housing targets with municipal taxes and ensure that middle-class
tax burdens are not too onerous.
The mayor thanked everyone for their support of the two transportation taxes and also
acknowledged our collective sadness on the passing of UHP Trooper
Eric Ellsworth, who died in the line of duty. His funeral was on
November 30.
Update on Possible Acquisition of the Southern Portion of 1251 Kearns
Blvd. (known as The Yard)
Mr. Weidenhamer indicated that the $60,000 in
earnest money to secure the parcel would āgo hard,ā on December 9,
and encouraged Council to express their concerns now, if they had
any.
